- Choose a county.
- Solve a CAPTCHA.
- Click search. The search results have the inmate’s full name, date of birth, charges, Case Number, Status, and Booking Date.
- Scroll down to get the inmate you want.
- Daily Incarcerations also contain a list of admissions. Click on it and check if your loved one is there.
Jail Offender Search
- Go to Offender Search (Jails) to perform a fast search.
- Enter the inmate’s last and first name in the search bar.
- Solve a CAPTCHA.
- Click search. Search results display several inmates bearing the same name.
- Scroll down to get to the inmate you want. Pay attention to the inmate’s middle name.
- Click on the name of the inmate you want to view.
- Then, click “More Info” to get more information about the inmate. You’ll get the inmate’s name, sex, birth date, weight and height, race, location, and booking date. Besides, you’ll get a list with the court order. It includes information such as issuing agency, case number, bail type, and bail amount.
Prisons Offender Search
This search gives you a list of inmates in West Virginia’s state prisons.
- Go to Offender Search.
- Then, key in the Offender ID (OID) Number and the inmate’s first and last name. Input the first four numbers of the Offender ID or the first three letters of the inmate’s first and last name to get more accurate results.
- Solve a CAPTCHA.
- Click search. The search results include the Offender ID, last and first name, middle name, and location.
- Then, click “More Info.” You’ll get more details about the inmate. Also, you’ll get the Court Order List. It contains information, such as the sentencing county, Order Date and Number, and the Offenses Committed.
Escapees and Absconders Inmate Search
This search gives you a list of Escapees and Absconders in West Virginia. Escapees are inmates who escaped prison through physical boundaries (fences). On the other hand, absconders are inmates whose whereabouts are unknown.
